Mother Nature

Weather on the Earth always changes. It is different in different parts of the world. For example Antarctica. In summer weather is quite mild. There are still a lot of gales, though and of course, the sun never sets in the in the summer, which is really weird!
In winter the temperature will drop to about -40°C and the sun won't rise at all! Work in Antarctica is very extremal but there are many other extremal thinks to do. You can wok racing, volcano surfing, bungee jumping and others. If you don't like extremal sports you can visit The Appalachian Trail. You can meet there raccoons, elks, moose and some dangerous animals like black bears.
Climate is changing. Global warming is a serious problem for wild life. Because of global warming some different animals are in great danger.
The Taiga, however, is in danger because of global warming and an increase in deforestation over the past decades. Fortunately, governments are now taking measures to protect this precious natural habitat. The Taiga, which means ‘forest’ in Russian, is the world’s largest biome. It consists of coniferous forests and covers a large part of Russia, Scandinavia, and North America. The Taiga has a subarctic climate with large differences in temperature between seasons. The trees of the Taiga have adapted to the low levels of sunlight and the extreme conditions. Winters are long and very cold with only snowfall, and temperatures can drop as low as -54°C. Sum m ers are very short but warm and humid; sometimes temperatures reach 30°C. The Taiga also hosts a wide variety of wildlife. It is home to Russia’s largest populations of brown bear, wolf, moose, reindeer, and red fox. It also has as many as 300 species of birds including the golden eagle and the great grey owl. How exactly is all this changing our world, and what will happen if we don't act in time?
